Great restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. Definitely recommend the haggis spring rolls and the trio of salmon starters and the salmon main. Busy restaurant but accommodated us being late due to cancelled train. Highly recommended.

It was quite empty so the atmosphere was very cold,
Food was amazing can’t fault it we got the haggis Burger and venison loin but they charged us 12.5% discretionary service which would’ve been fine if they informed us but they didn’t seem to mention it at all and we were unsure what it was until after payment, felt quite sneaky really

Good restaurant close to Royal Mile.
Food is not excellent but there is a wide choice of whisky flights to accompany food, coming from twin shop next door.

I had haggis, chips, and a whiskey cocktail. Everything was really good, and oh my, it was my first time having such a whiskey cocktail. The taste of the whiskey was amazing!

The food was good staff were friendly. I was in this restaurant on Friday with a group of friends for lunch. The haggis was delicious 😋. I paid for my food the guy behind the bar said to me there's 40 pounds still owed. So I called my friends back and the guy behind the bar said there's a voluntarily cover charge on the bill that we were told all the waiter's put them on the bill that is outrageous and shocking.

J'ai réservé dans cet établissement suite à une bonne critique sur internet concertnant le Haggis.
Le cadre est très bien travaillé et avec mon épouse nous avons été assis à une table avec vue sur Edimburg, génial !
La décoration est très bien choisi, très cosy.
Le personnel est charmant. Sauf la serveuse que nous avons eue. Peu sympathique, de mauvais conseils, demande si le Haggis est bien cuisiné, réponse, c'est un plat écossais donc cuisiner partout la même chose et j'en passe.
Prix chers pour la qualité dans l'assiette.

Had a lovely meal here, a great place for an introduction to traditional Scottish food and whiskeys. Our waitress was great and was a lovely setting.
We had Cullen Skink & tiger prawns to start. Haggis and Scottish Salmon as mains. All were tasty. Followed by the introduction whiskey flight.
It was on the more expensive side, but as a new year's day treat we enjoyed ourselves! Would recommend.

Whisky and chocolate tasting this afternoon with Stephen as our host. It was brilliant. Stephen is extremely knowledgeable and takes you on an excellent adventure of tasting great regional whisky s, paired with chocolates. Highly recommend this experience to others

What a knowledgeable and very helpful gentleman was Mick and all the staff in general! Popped in for a wee nightcap and was pleasantly surprised by the distinct knowledge and overall warm feeling being in such a quality establishment.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for knowledgable people who know whisky and not at a crazy price, in fact very reasonable considering the proximity to central Edinburgh.
If you’re looking for a dram, this is the spot.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try their food. The owner or manager—I'm not sure who—was quite rude and told us that they were full in an unpleasant manner (and I'm not easily offended, but I could sense a hostile attitude). There were actually three empty tables. In the end, we waited for 30 minutes at a restaurant nearby. We would have been willing to wait if they had offered us to do so. Anyways good luck with such an attitude.

We come here regularly and the food, service, atmosphere (and drams!) are always spectacular. Sage regularly serves us and she is always super friendly and knowledgeable. All staff are wonderful and a true asset. We will be back again very soon!

Great place to pit stop for a drink to warm your cockles with a fine whiskey didnt try the food but the guy on the next table had a burger and it looked the dogs bollocks great atmosphere, friendly staff and they’ve got a shop so if theres a bottle of whisky you fancy you'll find it there highly recommend..👍

C’était bon et le cadre est top mais les légumes étaient mal préparés (encore la queue des haricots, la racine des carottes et c’était très très croquant).
Attention 10% de frais de service à la fin
